“The kids work hard and they do everything that we ask them to do but we can’t turn the ball over three times and expect to win very many football games,” said Greenville coach, Bart Schmitz. “I thought we improved from the week before but in some aspects we just have to figure out a way to win.”

Stebbins took a 7-0 lead on a 5-play 35-yard drive at 8:25 the first quarter with Greenville responding with a 4-play 70-yard 1:40 time of possession drive capped off with a 55-yard Brock Short touchdown run and a Avery Ernst PAT kick through the uprights with 6:45 showing on the first quarter clock knotting the score at 7-7.

“All you can do is keep working,” Schmitz stated. “The kids work hard and they get after it. They’re good kids.”

“I want them to win so bad,” continued Schmitz. “We’re going to come together and get a game plan for next week and give it everything we’ve got and see if we can get one against Sydney next week,”
