Wave boys golf tops Eaton

Greenville boys golfers easy winners over Eaton Eagles at Turtle Creek

GREENVILLE – The Greenville varsity boys golf team defeated the Eaton Eagles 193-221 in non-conference match play on the back nine of Turtle Creek Golf Course.

Greenville was led by Ethan Sunsdahl finishing with a 41. Mason Shuttleworth shot a 49, Aidan Honeyman carded a 51 and Will Gettinger shot a 52 to round out the Waves scoring. Also playing was Carson Good with a 53 and Bryce Blumenstock, Unfortunately Blumenstock had to withdraw when attacked by a swarm of bees.

“Ethan had another solid round and Mason had one of best rounds on the back. Will had a good round also,” said Greenville coach, Brian Stickel. “Bryce was stung by about 6 bees and had to withdraw. We are hoping Bryce is okay and will be ready to play later this week.”

With the win, Greenville improves to 3-5 on the season.
