GREENVILLE – The Greenville varsity boys golf team defeated the Eaton Eagles and the Fairborn Skyhawks at Greenville’s Turtle Creek Golf Course.
“We played pretty well tonight,” said Greenville boys golf coach, Brian Stickel.
Greenville earned the win shooting a 166 while Eaton came in with a 212 and Fairborn finished with a 240 on the day.
Alex Kolb paced the wave with a 40, Warren Hartzell shot a 41, Sam Bankson a 42 and Lance Greer carded a 43 to round out the Green Wave’s scoring.
“It was very nice to see Sam play well,” Stickel stated. “Alex and Warren have played pretty steady all year. Lance has really stepped up since he has been playing varsity.”
Jack Marchal shot a 46 and Andrew Abell a 49 for the remaining Greenville players not scoring in the match.
Greenville improves to 5-1 overall on the season and 4-1 in Miami Valley League play.
