VERSAILLES—The wait to see your favorite kooky family is over! This week, starting Wednesday (the day, not the Addams!) the 13th, “The Addams Family” takes over the Versailles Performing Arts Center stage! Cast and crew members from Versailles and surrounding communities have worked hard to bring you this amazing show, which has paid off in this spectacularly ghoulish musical comedy. Performances are July 13 to 15, at 7:30 p.m. and the 16 at 2:00 p.m.! Fans of Towne & Country Players may have also seen snippets of “The Addams Family” at the July 8 Staycation at the Amphitheater in Versailles’s Heritage Park. This preview included songs from the show such as “When You’re an Addams,” “Pulled,” and “One Normal Night.” These teasers leave the fate of the Addams unknown: Will love prevail for all? Because now that Wednesday is an adult and in love with a normal boy named Lucas- and loyal Gomez is keeping one tiny secret from his wife Morticia-this one close-knit family may be falling apart!
Tickets for the July 13th-16th performances are available now, so check out Towne & Country Players’ website (http://www.towneandcountryplayers.com/) or call (937) 417-1094. The show times are 7:30 p.m. Wednesday 13th through Friday 15th with a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Saturday the 16th. This is one ghoulish delight you won’t want to miss! As Gomez Addams says, “And tell your friends, word of mouth is so very important!”
Also, be sure to attend future Friday evening Staycation events as Towne & Country celebrates its 50th Anniversary year, with “The Addams Family” making the 75th musical addition to T&CP’s long history. Upcoming events include a Pork Chop Dinner fundraiser on Family Night, with a performance by the Kim Kelly Orchestra, on July 29th! Pork Chop Dinner tickets are available by calling (937)564-9219.
