Tigers run out final five minutes to preserve MAC victory.

VERSAILLES – The Versailles Tigers stopped the New Bremen Cardinals running game to pull out a 24-19 victory Friday MAC night.

The Cardinals down 24-12 scored and attempted an onside kick, but the Tigers recovered and was able to run out the final five minutes of the game.

The Tigers held the Cardinals to 25-rushing yards and 253 total yards. The Tigers were led by Landon Henry with two touchdowns and 82-yards on 20 carries.

“Really proud of the offensive line.” Coach Ryan Jones said “It’s a great win – we are getting better each week.”

Carson Bey was 8 of 13 with a touchdown pass to Trey Mills. The Tigers move to 5-1 overall on the season and 3-1 in conference play. New Bremen drops to 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the MAC.
