Versailles big win over Parkway

Versailles keep Parkway Panthers off the board with 41-0 shutout

ROCKFORD – The Versailles Tigers coming off their first loss of the season responded with a 41-0 shut out of the Parkway Panthers.

“We challenged the offense a bit; obviously we weren’t happy with our performance last week.” Coach Ryan Jones said “Defense played well again tonight. That’s several weeks in a row the defense has done a good job.”

The Tigers held the panthers to 117 total yards. Jones credited his seniors with getting the team to focus during the week and improve.

Payton Platfoot played well on both sides of the ball and started the game with a kickoff that sup up the Tigers on their first possession. Platfoot had two receiving touchdowns. The Tigers had 316 total yard.
