Tri-Village downs Ansonia

The Patriots earn 1-point WOAC win over Ansonia Tigers

NEW MADISON – The Friday night WOAC matchup between the Tri-Village Patriots and the Ansonia Tigers was everything and more it was billed to be with the Patriots earning a 37-36 win on a late fourth quarter score.

The Patriots got the final score of the night with just over a minute left with Reed Wehr carrying from 6-yards out to give the home team the victory.

Tri-Village took a 10-point first half lead to the break with Ansonia battling back with three Exzaviar Moody second touchdowns setting up Wehr’s game winning run.

With the win Tri-Village and Ansonia have identical 4-1 overall season records while the Patriots stand at 3-1 in conference play and the Tigers own a 2-1 WOAC mark.
