Arcanum –

The Tri-Village girls golf team is picking up right where they left off last season and looking to add to their success this year.

“We’ve had a great season so far. It’s been a great experience building off lasts year’s success. Finishing the season undefeated last year and then remaining undefeated to this point this year is a testament to the work these girls have put in,” TV Coach Roy Lowry said.

The girls recently one a dual match with Covington on Monday and against Ansonia on Tuesday.

Against the Buccs Reagan Brewer shot a 43, Sage Waters 46, Taylor Begoon 46, Alyssa Begoon 46, Ashlynn Fleagle 58 and Haylee Potter a 69.

“The girls have learned a lot this year already, Lowry stated.  We’re led by sophomore Reagan Brewer and senior Alyssa Begoon. Their hard work throughout the summer and into this season has paid dividends throughout the year. Sage Waters and Taylor Begoon have stepped up in a big way to play solid golf all season long. They’ve all put a lot of work in to get where they are now. They’ve been a blast to coach and an easy group to cheer for. This is definitely a team to remember, Lowery added.

Currently Tri-Village leads the conference at 8-0 overall and 5-0 in the conference with Arcanum on their heels.  Tri-Village defeated Arcanum head-to-head back on August 18th 195 – 213 but the WOAC league tournament on September 22nd still looms and can affect the final standings.

The Trojans are 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the conference.  Arcanum defeated National Trail Monday night.

Brooke Anderson led with a 46, Isabella Harleman 49, Emma Rogers 51, Kaylee Flatter 52, Kylie Grieshop 55 and Zoe Monnin had a 57.
