Tigers defense smothers Blue Jays.

Versailles defense picks off three passes and allows 1-yard rushing in win over Delphos St. John's.

DELPHOS – The Versailles Tigers defense held Delphos St. John’s to 1-yard rushing while defeating the Blue Jays 45-14.

Versailles has given up 54-yards rushing total in their last three games.

“We came out strong.” Versailles coach, Ryan Jones said. “The defense got a stop right away and the offense was able to score. We came out really focused.”

Versailles had four rushing touchdowns on the night, two by Jack Osborne and one each from Carson Bey and Gabe Thompson. Bey threw a touchdown pass to Eli McEldowney.

The Tigers defense had three interceptions including a pick six by Lucas Stammen.
