GREENVILLE—After a little under six months of operation, The Hive Collective will host its first open house this Saturday.

Winter in the Woods will feature over 40 local makers. Some of those featured at the event include Soap Goat Company, Happy Lark, Miller’s Flowers, Black Ember Candles plus others.

Store owner and founder Kristin Jones said the event was inspired by local artists and vendors.

“I had some friends and family that were creative, and all these local makers that needed just an outlet or just a venue to sell their goods at,” she said. “When we were thinking of what to do for the holidays, we were thinking what a perfect day to invite everyone to come on Small Business Saturday to support all these small businesses.”

At the event, shoppers will receive customer gifts with purchases over $50 while supplies last. Customer gifts will be comprised of donated items from local vendors. Select items will be 20% to 50% off.

Jones said she hopes the community can come out and shop small for the holidays this weekend.

“We’re looking to have a good, festive time,” she said. “It’s going to be Small Business Saturday so we’re hoping everyone can support our small businesses, especially the vendors featured at The Hive.”

The Winter in the Woods event will be Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Hive Collective, located at 517 S. Broadway St., Greenville, Ohio.
