The Lady Wave drops 3-2 scrimmage soccer match to Coldwater Lady Cavaliers
GREENVILLE – The Lady Wave welcomed the Coldwater Lady Cavaliers to Harmon Field for a Saturday morning preseason soccer match.
“We got a good look at all of the girls on the team today,” said Greenville head coach, Dave Ernst. “That is what these preseason matches are for.”
The scrimmage was a rematch of the 2021 preseason scrimmage between the two teams won by the Lady Cavaliers 8-0, a team that went into the fourth round of the OHSAA state tournament.
The Lady Wave dropped the 2022 tune-up by a single goal, 3-2 to Coldwater as the Greenville program proves to be on the upswing heading into the regular season.
The Green Wave recorded two goals on the day, one each for McKenzie Pressnall and Sami Frens.
“We played with High Energy and Aggressiveness,” Coach Ernst stated. “We have some things to work on, but we are going to exciting to watch!”
The Lady Wave travels to Indian Lake for a 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 9th scrimmage with the Lady Lakers.
