DARKE COUNTY— Due to redistricting in the State of Ohio, the 84th congressional district, which includes a large portion of Darke and Mercer Counties has been redrawn into an open congressional district.
The current candidates in the Republican primary for this seat are Aimee Morrow, Angie King and Jacob Larger. The current candidate in the Democratic primary for this seat is Sophia Rodriguez.
The 84th district is currently represented by State Rep. Susan Manchester. Manchester is running for reelection in the newly drawn 86th House District, which covers Allen County and the northern part of Auglaize County.
The primary election is Tuesday, Aug. 2, with the general election following on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
