Sheriff’s Patrol to host 58th Home & Sports Expo

GREENVILLE— The Darke County Sheriff’s Patrol will host its 58th Home & Sports Expo on Friday, April 1, Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3.

The free, weekend-long event will feature food for attendees all weekend, with the Ohio State Championship Kiddie Tractor Pulls, Grand National Kiddie Tractor Pulls, Ansonia Lumber’s DIY Youth Birdhouse Build, a performance from Barbara Rethlake Dance Studio and much more.

Exhibitors include landscaping, home remodeling, outdoor sports, kids fishing pond and many more.

The Darke County Sheriff’s Auxiliary Patrol is a self-supported, non-profit organization. The patrol’s duties include school sporting events, school events, traffic detail, The Great Darke County Fair, Eldora Speedway, Poultry Days and additional part-time support to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

Funds from the Home & Sports Expo help the patrol fund everyday expenses like cruiser maintenance, building maintenance, gas, radios and laptops, tasers, ammunition and more. The Home & Sports Expo is the patrol’s only fundraiser.

The Darke County Sheriff’s Home & Sports Expo is Friday, April 1 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, April 2 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, April 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Great Darke County Fairgrounds in the Dairy and Beef Pavilion.
