Professional trick rider to perform at The Great Darke County Fair Open Horse Show

GREENVILLE— During the lunch break at the The Great Darke County Fair Open Horse Show this Sunday, professional trick rider Avalyn Zehender will perform.

Avalyn Zehender, 11, has been trick riding for 3 years. She has rode her entire life and was always trying to do tricks on her pony as a small child.

Zehender attended her first trick riding clinic in Illinois and was hooked. Along with going to Illinois for clinics, she attended trick riding camp in Belmont, Ohio where she met Shelly Bicknell.

After countless hours riding and practicing Zehender expanded her abilities and started performing. This year her standout trick horse Eli got sick and she had limited time to find a replacement. She started working with Mia, a 6 year old mare that her family had raised, and in just a short time they started performing together.

You’ll see Zehender has a dare devil spirit and likes to go fast, making Mia a perfect match for her performance. They are both very excited to make perform at the Darke County Horse Show and would like to thank everyone for allowing them to attend.
