Ohio State Extension to host pesticide and fertilizer license registration classes

GREENVILLE— Farmers that apply restricted use chemicals and commercial fertilizer for up to 50 acres of land are required by the Ohio Department of Agriculture to obtain a license. These private applicator licenses require recertification every three years and expire on March 31 on the third year.

The Ohio State University Extension is offering two recertification classes, the first is on February 21 at Romer’s Catering beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 2 p.m. The second class will be held on March 21 at the New Madison Public Library from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. For more information and registration contact Taylor Dill at 937-569-5000 or at dill.138@osu.edu.
