Local family named 2022 National Breeder of the Year

VERSAILLES—Scott Peters and his family were recently honored with receiving the 2022 National Breeder of the Year at by the American Corriedale Association at their recent national meeting in Sedalia, MO.

Scott and his family have been raising and showing Corriedale sheep since the early 70’s and have had a lot of success through the years. In 2021 they won the reserve national champion Ram at the North American livestock expo in Louisville, KY and also had champion Ram at the All American Jr show in Springfield, IL.

The Corriedales are a family tradition and every member of the family has actively shown them throughout the United States. Scott and his wife, Cathy, have three children, Collin, 24, Ellen, 22, and Emma, 20, and are usually accompanied by his father, Bob, and his mother, Donna.
