The Lady Wave moves to 8-0 on the 2021 OHSAA varsity season.
GREENVILLE – The Lady Wave golf team traveled to Piqua to take on the Lady Indians in a conference match. The Lady Wave won the match with a score of 185. Piqua had a 215.
“This was a good win,” said Greenville varsity girls golf coach, Tracy Haines.
The Lady Wave were led by Kenna Jenkinson with a 38, Trinity Reis had 43, Leah Fry had 51 and Lexi Slade had a 53.
“Kenna bounced back after a bad (for her) round the day before against Xenia,” Coach Haines stated. “Trinity played well with another 43. She is close to breaking 40 – she had several 3 putts today so we will be working on that at practice. Leah played well and made a 30 foot putt for par on hole 8. Lexi played better today also.”
Piqua was led by Kenzi Anderson and Ivy Lee with 48’s, Carsyn Meckstroth had a 54 and Braylin Shaner had a 65. Also playing for Piqua but not counting in the match were Marin Funderburg with a 67 and Madi Brake with a 70.
Greenville is now 8-0 overall and 5-0 in conference play.
