Lady Wave Golf Team stays perfect with big win over Fairborn

GREENVILLE – The Greenville Lady Wave hosted the Fairborn Lady Skyhawks a Turtle Creek Golf Course in a Miami Valley League match for their first match in 10 days.

“The girls played well today,” said Greenville varsity girls coach, Tracy Haines. “We did not have any matches last week, so this was the first match in about 10 days.”

The home standing Lady Wave crushed the visiting Lady Skyhawks 192 to 299 to stay perfect on the 2021 season.

Greenville was led by Kenna Jenkinson with a 38, Leah Fry shot a 48, Trinity Reis carded a 49 and Lexi Slade had a 57 to round out scoring for the Lady Wave.

“A couple of the girls started a little slow but came back at the end,” said Coach Haines. “Trinity Reis birdied number 4 and Leah Fry birdied 7 and 9.”

The Lady Skyhawks were led by Addison Hart with a 73, Isabella Dunwiddie shot a 74 and Keira Fritzsche finished with a 77.

Fairborn’s fourth golfer was unable to play making way for the Fairborn to use the average of their three players to arrive at the fourth score of 75.

We used the average of the 3 players to arrive at the 4th score of 75.  Fairborn’s 4th player was unable to play.

Greenville improves to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the MVL.
