Lady Wave golf team defeats Butler

Kenna Jenkinson leads Lady Wave varsity golf team to victory over Lady Aviators

VANDALIA – The Greenville Lady Wave golf team traveled to Cassel Hills golf course to play Vandalia Butler in a Tuesday conference match and brought home a 196-205 MVL win.

“I am very happy with the improvement I am seeing in our new players,” said Lady Wave coach, Tracy Haines. “We had a little trouble with putting today so that is the something we will continue to work on and improve.”

The Lady Wave were led by Kenna Jenkinson with a 34; Lexi Slade had a 51; Sofia Chrisman shot a 54 and Callee Moore carded a 57.

Rounding out the Lady Wave were Vera Cox with a 60 and Leah Curtis shooting a 75.

Vandalia Butler was led by Shelby Drinnon with a 45, Grace Hadder shot a 48; MacKenzie Kohlrieser had a 52, Aralynn Freels and Summer D’Angelo both had 60 and Charli Price carded a 65.

The Lady Wave are now 2-0 overall and 2-0 in Miami Valley League play.
