Lady Wave golf remains undefeated with win over Sidney

Lady Wave advance to 10-0 overall and 7-0 in MVL action

SIDNEY – The Greenville Lady Wave varsity golf team traveled to Sidney to play a conference match at the Moose Golf Course and came away with a 188-221 win over the Lady Yellow Jackets.

“The first two hole at the Moose golf course are the most difficult holes,” said Greenville coach Tracy Haines. “They caused everyone trouble today.”

The Lady Wave were led by Kenna Jenkinson with a 42, Trinity Reis shot 48 and Leah Fry and Lexi Slade both carded 49’s in the MVL match.

The Sidney Lady Yellow Jackets were led by Lily Blosser with a 52, Evie Schwepe with a 56, Hannah Carlson a 56 and Grace Steenrod shooting a 57.

“Both teams struggled with the first few holes today,” Coach Haines noted. “The girls managed to work through the rough patch and finished strong. Lexi equaled a personal best with her 49.”

Greenville is now a perfect 10-0 overall on the season and 7-0 in Miami Valley League play.
