Lady Wave Golf big over Piqua

GREENVILLE – The Greenville Lady Wave varsity golf team defeated the visiting Piqua Lady Indians 182-268 at Turtle Creek Golf Course.

“The putting was much better today,” said Greenville coach, Tracy Haines, “and it showed in the lower scores for the Lady Wave.”

Kenna Jenkinson carded a 39 to lead Greenville, Trinity Reis had a 43, Leah Fry shot a 49 and Lexi Slade rounded out the foursome with a 51.

Kenna struggled a little on the front nine today, but overall had a good day,” Coach Haines said. “Trinity’s putting really improved from yesterday and Leah and Lexi both improved..”

The Lady Indians scoring came from Kenzie Anderson with a 56, Ivy Lee 69, Marin Funderburg 10 and Carsyn Meckstroth a 73.
