GREENVILLE – One person entered a change of plea, and was sentenced in Darke County Common Pleas Court this week. Judge Jonathan P. Hein presided.
In court on Tuesday, Jimmy W. Keen Jr., 25, of Connersville, Ind., pleaded guilty to one count of vandalism, a fifth-degree felony.
At the time of his arrest, on May 2, 2021, Keen Jr. was in treatment in lieu of a conviction (ILC) on one count of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. At his ILC hearing, Keen Jr. offered the court a guilty plea to the sole count, and upon completion of the intervention program, the charge was to be dismissed.
At a hearing on Thursday, he admitted to the court that he violated his ILC agreement and was found guilty of possession of drugs.
Keen Jr. was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 12 days credit on both charges.
