Jean and JR Price combine for 93 years teaching at Greenville Senior High School
GREENVILLE – The Greenville Senior High School Student Council selected Jean and JR Price as the 2021 Homecoming Parade Grand Marshals.
JR is the son of Jean and together they have a combined total of 93 years teaching at Greenville Senior High School.
“We are honored to chosen for Grand Marshal,” stated Jean. “All great memories of Greenville High School.”
The favorite part of homecoming for Price, “activities for the kids and staff – the whole week,” she said.
Jean, a Rio Grand College graduate taught two years at Arcanum (1962-1964) before coming going to Greenville where she would teach from 1964-1999 and still substitute teaches at GHS.
JR Price is a 1980 Greenville alum and graduate of Eastern Kentucky, began his teaching career at Union City Community High School in 1986 and began teaching at Greenville Senior High School in 1988 where he continues to teach today.
