Greenville Post 140 crushes Columbus 23-0

Greenville American Legion Post 140 earns 23-0 win over Columbus Southeast Dodgers in tournament action

SPRINGFIELD – Greenville American Legion Post 140 Thunder crushed the Columbus Southeast Dodgers in a 23-0 shutout tournament win behind the one-hit pitching of Rob Ellis.

Greenville scored two runs in the top of the first, 10 runs in the second and continued to rip the cover off the ball in the third scoring 11 runs to bring the game to a close after three inning of play.

Hunter Gray paced the Thunder going 3-for-3 at the plate with four RBIs and two runs knocked in and Seth Hoover went 3-3 with two doubles, 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

Greenville scored 11 third inning runs getting hits from Wyatt House, Seth Hoover, Hunter Reagan Xavier Manning, Gray, Ellis and a fielder’s choice off the bat of Colton Francis.

Greenville Post 140 exploded for 23 hits in the game and played error free ball in the field.

Wyatt House was 3-4 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs; Colton Francis went 3-4 including a double with 2 RBIs and 3 runs; Logan Todd went 3-4 with a RBI and 3 runs.

Hunter Reagan was 2-3 including a double with 2 RBIs and 2 runs; Aiden Psczulkoski went 2-3 with a RBI and 3 runs; Ricky Heidrich was 1-2 with a walk, 2 RBIs and 2 runs;  Xavier Manning went 1-2 with a with a walk, a RBI and 2 runs and Bryce Blumenstock had a walk and a run scored.
