Aug. 8, 4:56 p.m.: Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart in reference to a theft. They spoke with an employee who witnessed the suspect, Daina Mcintire, via security cameras and in person, select various items, remove the item tags and replace them for tags of cheaper items, then proceed to self-checkout where she scans the false tags. When officers spoke to her, Mcintire was in possession of multiple clothing items that still had tags on them. Officers cited Mcintire for theft by deception, and she was also arrested on active warrants out of New Jersey for controlled dangerous substances and failure to appear, no bond. She was transported to the Darke County Jail.
Aug. 10, 5:53 p.m.: Police observed a male subject on a bike in the intersection of Pine St. and Sweitzer St., who they recognized as Tyler Garner. Through dispatch it was confirmed that Garner had an active felony warrant through the Darke County Sheriff’s Office for possession of drugs, no bond. After pulling him over, officers arrested Garner and transported him to the Darke County Jail.
Aug. 11, 7:07 p.m.: Officers observed a subject traveling in a car westbound on Sater Street. As the vehicle passed officers, they saw the passenger look away and put his hand over his face. Officers performed a traffic stop and identified the passenger as Gregory Bowlin. Through dispatch they confirmed that Bowlin had an active warrant for a probation violation on an original charge of Failure to Comply with an Order or Signal of a Police Officer, no bond. Police then made contact with the driver, identified as Joseph Honeycutt. Through dispatch, they confirmed Honeycutt to be under multiple license suspensions including a Non-Compliance Suspension from Nov. 2020 to indefinite. Honeycutt was issued a citation for Driving under Suspension and was advised to wait for a valid ride. Police transported Bowlin to the Darke County Jail where held for his warrant.
Aug. 11, 9:55 p.m.: Officers observed a male subject that they recognized as Matthew Bowlin, leave Sunoco and get into the passenger seat of a black Pontiac G5. Through dispatch police confirmed Bowlin to have two active warrants, one through adult probation authority for probation violation, no bond, original charge burglary and the other warrant was through the Darke County Sheriff’s office for probation violation, no bond. Officers followed the vehicle and made a traffic stop on North Ohio Street, where Bowlin was arrested and transported to the Darke County Jail.
