Greenville police blotter


Sept. 11, 12 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of E. Water Street in reference to a harassment complaint. Upon arrival police made contact with the complainant, who advised her minor daughter was with her ROTC class at the Greenville High School football game on Sept. 10 at approximately 7:30 p.m. when the former ROTC commander Stephen Eldred approached her. Eldred talked to her and then smacked her in the back of the head. The complainant told Eldred previously not to touch her daughter or harass her in anyway. Police have not received any statements at this time and were unable to make contact with Eldred at his residence.


Oct. 12, 11 p.m.: Police were called to the 100 block of Front Street in reference to an overdose. Officers performed CPR on the male subject Kyle Reigelsperger, who then began to breath on his own and had a pulse. No drug paraphernalia was found near or around Reigelsperger nor was there any narcotics found in the bedroom. Rescue arrived on scene and administered three doses of Narcan. Reigelsperger then became responsive and alert, and signed a refusal for treatment. He denied drug use throughout the day and denied officers consent to search the bedroom.


Oct. 13, 9:23 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of E. Main Street in reference to a trash complaint. Police observed a black dump trailer parked in the rear of the residence under a garage overhang. The trailer was full of what appeared to be trash and there was a mattress sitting along the east wall of the garage. Police made contact with resident Cody Fleming, who advised officers that he would remove the items. Fleming was issued a trash notification. Safety Service Director Ryan Delk was emailed and advised of the notice.


Oct. 13, 5:33 p.m.: Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Pine Street in reference to a disorderly conduct complaint. Complainant Chealsy Hill told officers that during an argument with her ex-boyfriend Jordan Rice, he swung open her porch gate and it hit her hard in the ribs. Rice was issued a citation for disorderly conduct. Police were provided with a copy of the security camera video, and it was packaged and placed into property as evidence.


Oct. 13, 12:21 p.m.: While investigating a breaking and entering complaint in the 400 block of Harrison Avenue, officers observed who they recognized as Kimberly Dotson standing in the upstairs hallway of the residence. Through investigation police found that she had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear on a driving under suspension with a bond of $575 through the Greenville Police Department. Officers arrested Dotson and transported her to the Darke County Jail.

Oct. 14, 2021, 12:59 p.m.: Officers observed a black Dodge Ram driving west bound on West Main Street near Vine Street. Through investigation the registered owner of the listed vehicle, Kevin Vititoe, was found to have an active felony warrant for probation violation through the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. A traffic stop was made and the registered owner was the operator. Vititoe was arrested and transported to the Darke County Jail.


Oct. 14, 4:52 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Sweitzer Street in reference to a burglary not in progress. Police spoke with residents Donald and Norma Strawser who claimed their residence was burglarized. Donald stated that he has a safety deposit box in the front room of the home and the handle of the safety deposit box was ripped off. He added that the box sits out in the open with $3,000 worth of cash inside the safety deposit box and all of the money was missing. There are no witnesses or leads at this time.
