Lady Wave finish season 8-0 and win MVL Tournament to captured 2021 MVL title.

SPRINGFIELD – The Greenville Lady Wave golf team traveled to Locust Hills Golf Course to play in the MVL Tournament on September 23, 2021.

The Greenville girls won the tournament with a score of 374.  The Lady Wave were led by Kenna Jenkinson with a 77; Trinity Reis shot an 89; Leah Fry had a 95 and Julie Herron carded a 113.  Also playing was Lexi Slade with a 120.

“It was a cold and windy day on the course,” said Greenville varsity girls golf coach, Tracy Haines. “The course was in great shape considering how much rain we have had in the last four days.”

“The greens were fast for the conditions and caused everyone problems,” added Coach Haines.

By winning the Miami Valley League tournament and finishing the season with a perfect 8-0 record, the Lady Wave captured the 2021 MVL title.

“We won the conference title in 2019 so it is nice to win it again,” said Haines. “The girls have done a great job this season and I am very proud of them.”

“We have about a week and a half to prepare for sectionals on October 6th,” Haines concluded.
