Greenville JV gets balanced scoring with eight players in the scoring column to down Piqua 49-36
GREENVILLE – The Greenville junior varsity boys basketball team defeated the visiting Piqua Indians 49-36 in MVL action.
Six Wave players made it in the opening period scoring column led by Drew Hamilton’s 7-points including a 3-pointer to give Greenville an 18-13 lead after one quarter of play.
Greenville was 1-point better than Piqua in the second 9-8 sending the teams to the break with the hometown boys leading 27-21. Haiden Livingston accounted for six Wave second quarter points.
The Wave again added 1-point to its lead taking the third quarter 12-11 putting Greenville up 39-32 with one period to play. EB Fall and Livingston each connected on three 2-point baskets good for 6-points apiece in the third.
Greenville’s defense gave the Wave a 13-point win holding the Indians to 4-points in the fourth quarter while the offense was adding 10-points to the board to complete the Green Wave win.
