Win over Stebbins improves Greenville boys golf team to 2-1 in MVL play.
GREENVILLE – The Greenville varsity boys golf team defeated the visiting Stebbins Indians 175-199 at Greenville’s Turtle Creek Golf Course.
“We didn’t have one of our best matches but a win in the MVL is a win,” said Greenville coach, Brian Stickel.
Warren Hartzell paced the Wave with a 43. Alex Kolb, Jack Marchal and Lance Greer each shot 44’s to close out the Wave’s scoring on the day.
“Couple of the guys was definitely not happy with their scores,” Coach Stickel stated. “I’m really happy with Lance Greer. Plays in his first varsity match and shoots a 44 – pretty neat.”
Also playing for Greenville was Sam Bankson with a 45 and Andrew Abell a 49.
With the win, Greenville improves to 2-1 on the season in MVL action.
