GREENVILLE – The Greenville boys golf team handily defeated the Eaton Eagles and Fairborn Skyhawks in an OHSAA varsity match played at Turtle Creek.
“We played pretty well tonight,” said Greenville coach, Brian Stickel.
The Green Wave squad shot a 166, Eaton finished with a 212 and Fairborn to third with a score of 240.
Alex Kolb led the Wave with a 40 followed with Warren Hartzell shooting a 41, Sam Bankson carding a 42 and Lance Greer right behind with a 43. Jack Marchal shot a 46 and Andrew Abell a 49 for the other Greenville players not scoring.
“Very nice to see Sam play well,” Stickel stated. “Alex and Warren have played pretty steady all year. Lance has really stepped up since he has been playing Varsity.”
With the win, Greenville improves to 5-1 overall on the season and 4-1 in Miami Valley League play.
