Greenville's Warren Hartzell tees off for the Wave.

Greenville boys downs Xenia golf team

XENIA – The Greenville boys varsity golf team defeated the Xenia Buccaneers 179-183 in MVL play at WGC Golf Course.

“Once again we got the win, but didn’t play extremely well,” said Greenville coach, Brian Stickel. “Lance stepped up and had a great round. That’s why you play six players. A couple guys don’t play well and couple others step up.”

Warren Hartzell shot a 2-over 38 to pace the Green Wave. Lance Greer carded a 44, Alex Kolb shot a 48 and Ethan Sunsdahl a 49 to close out scoring on the day.

Greenville improves to 3-1 overall and in MVL Play.
