Greenville plays through rain to earn Senior Night win over the Sidney Yellow Jackets.

GREENVILLE – The Greenville varsity boys golf team improved to 10-1 overall with a 185-194 win over the Sidney Yellow Jackets. The final score was 185-194.

“Tonight was our senior night,” said Greenville coach, Brian Stickel. “Just too bad they had to play in rain most of the round.”

“These seniors have been a fantastic group to coach,” Stickel continued. “Great students and great kids. Warren and Alex play baseball, Jack and Andrew play tennis and Sam just plays golf.”

Warren Hartzell shot a 42, Alex Kolb carded a 44, Ethan Sunsdahl had a 49 and Sam Bankson finished with a 50 to round out Greenville scoring on the night. Also playing was Jack Marchal with a 51 and Andrew Abell a 53.

This group of seniors have been a great representation for the Green and White,” said Coach Stickel. “They will be deeply missed.”

With the win over Sidney, Greenville improves to 10-1 on the 2021 OHSAA season.
