Green Wave boys improves to 7-1 with win over West Carrollton

WEST CARROLLTON – The Greenville boys golf team improved to 7-1 with a 165-203 win against the West Carrollton Pirates.

Warren Hartzell shot a 38 to lead the Green and White. Shooting 42’s were Jack Marchal and Ethan Sunsdahl. Alex Kolb carded a 43 to finish the scoring. Playing but not scoring was Sam Bankson with a 44 and Andrew Abell a 45.

“All six guys played really well tonight,” said Greenville coach, Brian Stickel. “Sam, Ethan and Andrew had never played the course before so I was really pleased with them.

With the win the Wave is now 6-1 in Miami Valley League play and 7-1 overall on the season.

Gaylen Blosser is a sports enthusiast and has covered high school sports for nearly 20 years in Southwest Ohio. Gaylen has been a media sportswriter while most recently serving as Sports Editor for the local newspaper and will now serve as editor of Darke County Now while continuing to cover athletics.

Gaylen is an accomplished photographer who has captured thousands of athletes in action over the years and is the recipient of the OHSAA Friends of Athletes Award and OHSAA Respect the Game State Award.
