Greenville Boys & Arcanum Girls win Mississinawa Cross Country Invite

The Arcanum girls Cross Country team won the Blackhawk Invite at Chenowith Trails in Darke County, Ohio hosted by Mississinawa Valley.

In 2nd place was Greenville, 3rd place Mississinawa, 4th place Bradford.  Alter and Ansonia also competed.

Mississinawa sophomore Taylee Woodbury won the race in a time of 21:23.6 on a very difficult course.  She is the returning WOAC Cross Country runner of the year.

Arcanum Brooklyn Miras was 2nd in 21:36.4 and Tessa Fine of Greenville was 3rd in 21:59.0

Rounding out the top ten for Arcanum was Arianne Garrison 4th & Kylee Freeman 6th.  Greenville Jadyn Norris 5th & Megan Lind 8th.  Ansonia Olivia Creager 7th, Mississinawa Harley Hanes 9th and Ingrid Ojeda 10th place.

In the boy’s race Greenville squeezed out the win nipping Arcanum 35-37.  Ansonia was 3rd and Tri-Village 4th.  Alter, Bradford and Mississinawa Valley also competed.

The race winner for the boys was Ansonia Matthew Lee a 1st team WOAC runner last year in a time of 17:59.2 with Bradford Owen Canan coming in 2nd at 18:38.8.  Trey Rammel and Noah Stevens of Greenville were 3rdand 4th.  

Rounding out the top ten.  Arcanum Asthon Paul 5th, Kolin Frazee 6th, Lance Brinksneader 9th and Malachi Wright 10th.  Ansonia Ethan Sparks was 7th and Greenville Dominic Tanner 8th.

For 18 years Dale has been a sportswriter for The Daily Advocate and has been published in online sorts magazines and conference websites.
