Arcanum's Taylor Gray passes 1,000 career point mark with 31-points in Lady Trojans 68-26 win over the Eaton Lady Eagles
EATON – Arcanum’s Taylor Gray scored her 1,000th career Lady Trojans point midway through the fourth quarter in a non-conference matchup with the Eaton Lady Eagles.
“I definitely want to thank my teammates getting me the ball tonight because 31-points is a lot to get in one night,” said Gray following the game. “So thankful to them to pass me the ball. Hailey has already scored a 1,000 and Madelyn just scored 1,000 our last game.”
“Taylor’s a blast – she’ll do anything you say,” said Arcanum coach, Abbey Moore. “She’s a great teammate and just a great kid to coach.”
Gray entered the night needing 30-points and would close out the night with 31-points pushing her career total to 1,001 varsity points joining teammates Hailey Unger and Madelyn Fearon with 1,000 career points.
“I can’t think of a team that has had three 1,000 point scorers on one team,” said Coach Moore. “We talked in the locker room how that speaks of this program and this team because it takes everybody to do that.”
“It takes someone to set good screens, someone to make the pass and these girls it’s just a matter if she wants to do it or puts her mind to it and that is the Taylor we have had all year and we have to have that moving forward too.
Gray had more to thank before heading back to Arcanum following the team’s 68-26 win over Eaton.
“My parents obviously, my grandparents are huge supporters – all of them,” Gray stated. “My coach, my teammates and the community too.”
