GREENVILLE – Governor Mike Dewine was in town visiting the Great Darke County Fair and was pleased to talk about his good friend; Greenville’s Jim Buchy.

“Jim Buchy is loved by everybody, not only in Darke County but around the state,” said Governor Dewine. “Jim Buchy can walk into the statehouse today and he’ll stop discussions and people will go up to him.”

Buchy is a former Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives representing District 84 where he served as assistant majority floor leader and assistant majority whip.

“Not only is he well loved, this is a person who is a wise man,” Dewine stated. “I never come away with a conversation with Jim Buchy that I don’t learn something.”

“Jim is very concerned not just about a great county like Darke County, rural county, agriculture county, he talks to me a lot about kids in the cities and he’s got programs, ideas about taking 4-H and more things in so these kids can live up to their full potential so in that sense I think Jim’s a visionary person,” added Governor Dewine. “I always learn something every time I talk to him.”
