Eaton tops Lady Wave soccer

Greenville girls looking for confidence on soccer field

EATON – The Eaton Lady Eagles defeated the Greenville Lady Wave 2-0 in a Saturday non-conference varsity soccer match.

“Eaton came out with a little more intensity than we did,” said Greenville coach, Dave Ernst. “They were first to the ball, they played a little bit more aggressive than us.”

The teams played to a 0-0 standoff after one half of play before the home standing Lady Eagles put two goals on the second half board to earn the win.

“I believe we were the better team but right now we have to build confidence in each player – then as a group,” Coach Ernst stated. “Until they have that confidence to win it doesn’t matter how good you play unless you believe that you’re going to win. That’s where we are at right now.”
