DCN’s Blosser throws first pitch at GGSA 50th opening day

GREENVILLE— Darke County Now Publisher Gaylen Blosser threw the first pitch at the Greenville Girl’s Softball Association’s (GGSA) 50th anniversary Opening Day Ceremony on Sunday afternoon.

Blosser, who oversees all operations at the local news site, is also known throughout the community as a reliable and supportive news source in his own right.

“We see Gaylen at the softball fields, football games, the fair and all sorts of other events throughout Darke County,” GGSA President Eric Fellers said. “It only made sense for our board to invite Gaylen to throw out the first pitch during our 50th Anniversary Opening Day Ceremony.”

Blosser said it was an honor to be selected to throw the first pitch.

“Thank you GGSA  Officers, Board of Trustees and Coaches,” Blosser said. “We have great kids in Greenville and surrounding areas which speaks volumes for our parents, grandparents, coaches, and many helpers and supporters.”

GGSA is a non-profit organization founded in 1972. The agency provides recreational softball activities for over 500 girls in Greenville and the surrounding areas. GGSA offers all Darke County girls Slow-Pitch & Fast-Pitch softball for ages 4 to 19 years old. For more information on the league, go to www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=ggsa.
