Darke County Fair to host sensory-friendly rides

GREENVILLE—The Great Darke County Fair will host a sensory-friendly rides at the fair on Tuesday, Aug. 23, from 11 a.m. to noon.

There will be 10 rides without flashing lights or music as to not overwhelm those who can easily become over-stimulated. Signs will be displayed in front of the selected rides to help identify which rides are participating.

A sensory friendly room will be available daily. The room is located in the Fine Arts Building.

The sensory-friendly afternoon is listed twice in the fair book. Please disregard the second time slot listed, as it is an error. The correct time slot is Tuesday, Aug. 23, from 11 a.m. to noon. 

The Great Darke County Fair will celebrate its 166th year from Aug. 19, 2022 to Aug. 27, at the Darke County Fairgrounds, located at 800 Sweitzer St. in Greenville. For more information, go to www.darkecountyfair.com.
