The Versailles Tigers headlined several swimmers from Darke County that competed in the OHSAA Southwest District Swim Meet. The Tigers had their best finish in several years in 7th place overall.
Leading the way for Versailles senior Evan Vanskyock who took 3rd place at district in both the boys 50 and 100 freestyle and qualified for state in both events.
Versailles Jr. Zach Ahrens swam the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley and qualified for state in both events.
Versailles freshman Michael Menke also competed in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medleys but didn’t qualify for state.
Judah Ben Winchester from Mississinawa Valley and Caden Lecklider of Greenville both competed in the 200 and 500 freestyle. Winchester finished 7th in the 500 and qualified for state with the 24th best time in state.
Arcanum had two swimmers compete they were Charles Barry in the 100 backstroke and Ashton Paul in the 100 Butterfly.
