GREENVILLE— The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Thursday afternoon to discuss the recorder’s office and YOLO Park. Commissioners Matt Aultman, Mike Stegall and Larry Holmes were all present.
The board approved a computer System & Software License Sales Agreement between FIDLAR Technologies and Darke County for scanning software needed in the recorder’s office. Some payment milestones include $3 per document, services are $20,000 and hardware is $37,616, the county will be invoiced monthly. The one-year agreement may be auto-renewed each year upon approval by the recorder for a period of five years.
The board then entered a Letter of Support for the City of Greenville’s Request for Capital Funds for YOLO Park Restrooms.
The board wrote that “having no restroom facilities in the park or downtown region has posed some serious challenges, especially in regards to the families visiting the splash pad.”
Addressed to Darke County Delegation, the letter states that the board is in full support of of the City of Greenville needing Capital Funds for the YOLO Park located in Downtown Greenville.
The board approved a Grant Contract for the fiscal year 2022 between the Darke County Commissioner’s Office and the Ohio Department of Transportation Office of Aviation. The grant will provided funds to replace rotating beacon at the Darke County Airport. The total project costs are $84,011, with the grant providing up to $79,810 and the county pledging $4,201.
Lastly, Commissioner Stegall added that he and Commissioner Aultman attended the Franklin-Monroe FFA banquet on Tuesday evening.
“It was a great time,” he said. “Some more of Mary Bergman’s great food. The kids in the FFA are just a good bunch of kids. They work hard in what they do. It was a good turn out down there, and it was a lot of fun. We really need to support our FFA programs because they do a great job and they’re producing great citizens.”
