The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Wednesday afternoon to discuss county broadband and the Darke County Airport. Commissioners Matt Aultman, Mike Stegall and Larry Holmes were all present.
The board approved Resolution (R-387-2021), to support residential broadband infrastructure within Darke County.
In the agreement, the commissioners urge the Ohio Broadband Expansion Authority to approve any residential broadband infrastructure grant applications submitted for broadband for broadband internet projects in Darke County.
Next, the board approved an agreement between the Darke County Commissioners and Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. consulting engineers for the professional project design, public proposal and construction phase of a new beacon at the Darke County Airport.
The project generally consists of the installation of a tip-down pole and the relocation of the existing beacon light unit and associated electrical connections.
Lastly, the board approved Resolution (R-388-2021), an emergency resolution which allows the board to execute the Participation Agreement for the One Ohio Subdivision Settlement with Janssen/ Johnson & Johnson pursuant to the OneOhio Memorandum of Understanding.
