Commissioners talk American Rescue Plan funds

GREENVILLE— The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Monday afternoon to discuss the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Commissioners Matt Aultman, Mike Stegall and Larry Holmes were all present.

The board approved a contract with EMS Innovations for a 2020 coroner trailer for the cost of $71,500, which includes shipping. The contract will be paid for with funds from the ARPA.

The board then approved Resolution, (R-431-2021), to authorize the expenditure of ARPA funds to pay for the coroner trailer.

The board reviewed the US Treasury Interim Rule as related to ARPA eligible expenses and identified an ARPA funded project which met the board priorities. The resolution includes an amendment to the budget for $71,500 for ARPA expenditures to the vendor EMS Innovations for the purchase, installation and associated training for a body morgue trailer.

The Darke County Board of Commissioners hold regular session every Monday and Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at 520 South Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331. For more information contact the commissioner’s office at 937-547-7370.
