GREENVILLE—The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Thursday afternoon to discuss the Darke County Airport. Commissioners Mike Stegall and Larry Holmes were present. Commissioner Matt Aultman was absent.
The board set a fixing of date for sealed bids for the airport beacon project. The bids are due by 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17. Bids will be read during regular session at 1:30 p.m.
The project includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment and performing all work necessary to install an airport beacon at the Darke County Airport, Versailles, Ohio. Work items include installation of new airport rotating beacon, tip-down pole and associated electrical connections. The construction cost is estimated at $100,000.
Next, the board set a fixing of date for land rent of the County’s Airport Farm, Richland and Wayne Twp. Tillable acres are measured at approximately 11.00 + acres. The board will accept sealed bids per acre until Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 1:30 p.m., at the Darke County Commissioners Office. Specifications may be picked up at the Commissioners Office at 520 S. Broadway St., Greenville, Ohio 45331.
