The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Wednesday afternoon to discuss the Darke County Airport and the North Farm Pasture. Commissioners Matt Aultman, Mike Stegall and Larry Holmes were all present.
The board approved a bid for drainage updates and waterway construction at the Darke County Airport from Cy Schwieterman, Inc, of Arcanum for $96,335.86. The bid will now go to soil and water to be reviewed.
The estimated price of the project is $93,537.25.
Next, the board approved a fixing of date for sealed bids to lease the North Farm Pasture located behind the Anthony Wayne school and in front of the Darke County Highway garage. The board will be accepting bids until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2020 for leasing the designated fenced in area, which is approximately 30 acres, in two parcels of land, for pasturing livestock at the County’s North Farm.
