GREENVILLE— The Darke County Commissioners met on Tuesday afternoon to discuss construction projects and a local jail capital project grant. Commissioners Matt Aultman, Mike Stegall and Larry Holmes were all present.
The board approved a Fixing of Date for sidewalk construction on Elm St. in the Village of Hollansburg. The board will accept bids at the Darke County Administration building, located at 520 S. Broadway, Greenville, Ohio, 45331, until Friday, Aug. 19, 2022. They will have a speciall session at 10 a.m., where they will open the sealed bids, and accept them. From there, the bids will go on to the county engineer for approval. The project consists of the replacement of 4,900 s.f. of sidewalk.
Contract documents including specifications may be examined or obtained from the Darke County Grants Office located at Darke County Administration building. An electric version of the contract documents is available at no charge by contacting Sally Keiser at skeiser@co.darke.us. Bids will only be accepted from bidders who have obtained the contact documents from the Darke County Grants Office.
Next, the board approved Resolution (R-286-2022), for a transfer of appropriations, and revenue & appropriation increases. In step one of the resolution, the board approved a transfer of $179,105 from the county general fund to the local jail capital project grant fund. In step two, the commissioners approved an advance out of $3,859,575 for the local jail capital project grant.
