GREENVILLE— The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Monday afternoon to reorganize the board and to approve a new project at the Darke County Airport. Commissioners Matt Aultman, Mike Stegall and Larry Holmes were all present.
First, the board reorganized the board of commissioners as they do every second Monday of every new year. The board approved Commissioner Aultman as Chairman and Commissioner Stegall as Vice Chairman.
The board also reappointed staff members for the board of commissioners. The board approved Robin Blinn as administrative clerk/secretary and Karen Avore as assistant clerk/secretary.
Next, the board approved a letter of recommendation from the Darke County Soil & Waste District, in which the district recommended the acceptance of a project at the Darke County Airport farm.
The project will address tile drainage issues in the West field of the farm. The accepted bid is $96,335.86 and was proposed by Cy Schwieterman, Inc. on Wednesday, Dec. 15.
