Commissioners proclaim National Business Woman’s Week

The board proclaimed Oct. 17, 2020 to Oct. 23, 2020 to be National Business Women's Week.

The Darke County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday afternoon to proclaim National Business Women’s Week. Commissioners Matt Aultman, Mike Stegall and Larry Holmes were present.

In collaboration with the Greenville Business and Professional Women (BPW), the board proclaimed Oct. 17, 2020 to Oct. 23, 2020 to be National Business Women’s Week.

The board recognized that women make up 57 percent of the national workforce. The declaration additionally states that women should be applauded for their contributions to the workplace, and the financial stability of their families, especially when more women have become their family’s breadwinner.

Since 1928, National Business Women’s Week has highlighted the contributions of working women and employees that support working women and their families.

The Darke County Board of Commissioners hold regular session every Monday and Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at 520 South Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331. For more information contact the commissioner’s office at 937-547-7370.
