The board approved a Fixing of Regular Meeting Times & Dates, etc. The motion changed regular session meetings from Monday’s and Wednesday’s, to Tuesday’s and Thursday’s at 1:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Hearing room at 520 S. Broadway St. Greenville, Ohio 45331.

The new meeting times will be in effect starting Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Next, the board approved a letter to local elected officials, clerks and associated staff. The letter, signed by Commissioner Aultman, addressed the National Opioid Settlement.

In the letter, he explained each county will have three representatives on the regional board: a county commissioner, a township representative and a municipal representative. The board will handle applications for distribution of funds and advise, determine and/or approve disbursements of the 55% of the states shared settlement pool.

Each representative will be issued either a one-year, two-year or three-year term, and at the end of the initial term a renewal term of two years will begin on rotation. The deadline to determine representatives for each county is Wednesday, Feb. 2.
