Burns sentenced to 18 mos for evidence tampering

One man entered a change of plea and was subsequently sentenced in Darke County Common Pleas Court on Thursday afternoon. Judge Jonathan P. Hein presided.

Mark A. Burns, 55, of Greenville, pleaded guilty to one count of tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree felony. As a part of the plea, the original indictment of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, was amended to a lesser charge. He was sentenced to 18 months incarceration and taken into custody.
